Hello easy repairs customer!
Have you received a telephone call by someone claiming to be Microsoft?
Have you received a telephone call by someone claiming to be Talk Talk, bt, sky or any other ISP provider?
Most calls registered from the scammers appear to make you think that your internet connection will stop working if you don't call their number and make a payment!
If you are in the UK and the caller makes an offer to assist on payment of a fee or is saying that you have a virus on your computer and they say that are from Microsoft or any other famous IT sourcing company then you should make contact with the National Fraud Authority.
Details are on their website at: http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/
The NFA is committed to tracking down and eliminating these criminals but they need all the help that they can get to identify the scams, if they don't know about it they can't act.
If you can at least get a website URL that would be helpful in a report.
We have been informed that this has been happening in the North Yorkshire region since 04/04/2011.
! Update! They are presently ringing UK internet customers as on 25/01/2020
